Filipina trying pickled herring, did she like it??
Pickled herring is typical for Sweden and really loved by many Swedes. You preferable eat with new boiled potato and traditionally you also can eat with a shot of alcohol, called snaps. Approved by Miss Zane, yes or no??
Jailbird Burgers Review
We were invited by a friend to try out the newly open Jailbird Burgers in Al Wasl. So come with us and share our experience and see what the verdict was!
The Kuwait Pavilion
At the Kuwait pavilion, the past meets present to shape a far-reaching vision for the country’s future. It will be a future created by a resilient, innovative country for the well-being of everyone.
The China Pavilion
A visit to the China Pavilion which is one of the largest at Expo 2020 Dubai. Honestly I had expected more of China.
The Sweden Pavilion
The Swedish pavilion the Forest, had a three-step effect in durability. By using alternative materials instead of concrete and steel, Sweden expect to save 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide. My personal highlights were the concept of forest bath that probably few outside Sweden (or Scandinavia) know about. And then the meat balls at Café by IKEA!
The Saudi Arabia Pavilion
The Saudi Arabia Pavilion was second largest pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai with a total area of 13,059 sqm. It was a pavilion about the people, natural landscapes, past, present and future. This was the pavilion which made largest impact to me.
A review of the Green Planet Dubai
Explore the enchanting bio-dome, a tropical indoor rain forest sustaining over 3000 plants & animals. As many things here in Dubai the Greek Planet was indeed impressive. But I will not spoil the fun, since this is a video review of the Green Planet in Dubai. Is it worth going there? Well join me and you will see. A tip: Buy the tickets online and get discount.
Etihad Museum, a nice informative experience
The Etihad Museum, historically called the Union House. The UAE is a country with a rich history and the Etihad Museum in Dubai is a great place to visit if you want to learn about it. The modern museum which spans over 25,000 sq. m. is complete with interactive exhibitions telling the story of how this country came to be and pictures of founding fathers.
I walked 19 000 steps in Dubai Mall just in one day!
Yes, it's the largest mall in the world by total land area. I've seen many big malls in Asia before so I thought I wouldn't be so easy to impress. But I admit I was impressed. I was impressed by its location with the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa just around the corner outside. There are also some major highlights inside the mall you wouldn't miss, the Dubai Aquarium for example. One thing that surprised me though, despite the size of the Dubai Mall it was easy for me to navigate my way around which is not always the case.
